The coolest thing

The coolest and yet disturbing thing has happened. I have had multiple requests to rejoin Facebook. Now I am thrilled and touched that my humble presence has meant so much to a few, but nonetheless, I am thrilled to have regained so much free time which has been filled with other events and duties. I do miss the global community and how connected I felt but I don’t miss the concept the EVERYTHING is sold to a third and fourth party for their profit and it is. Doesn’t that just give you the willies? It does me…meanwhile I have loved the freed up time and have been accomplishing much. Still I get the pain the lack of silliness and maybe not so silly threads that would occur on my page it was at time rather thrilling, informative and touching. I must be strong though and build a site where if people want can come and share and we can do the thing one does when we are connected, connect.
Life is discovery and I have discovered that we love each other as a rule…that’s heartening.

I won't lie, I spent a lot of time looking at your Facebook threads and getting disturbed and angry. I don't know, I guess I don't see your views as controversial to the extent that they elicited some of those responses. But I guess getting people to discuss their biases is a good thing. Anyway, I prefer to read your thoughts here, so I am one person who believes this is a better forum for you, and those who appreciate your insights can easily make the jump from Facebook to here. Thank you for continuing to share.

I miss you Lady Rae. Hope you decide to resurrect your Blogtalk radio show.

I understand Rae Dawn, I did not know about this about FB.
At least I can still read the Notes, which is what I look forward to anyway!
I am under a different name here (my crochet bikini business is called Knotty Girl) because my son signed me up on gmail long ago and he decided that I should not list my real name?? Hope things are well with you!

C'mom Rd! You love FB and all of us. You wrote a brief note every morning and rarely checked in during the day...except for the occasional referee that you alone perceived...you allowed us 5000 to vent to our heart's content! It's not nearly time to switch to 3 comments on a blog... as compared to 40-100 on FB! Me, Mario and Tb are starting a revolution! We want YOU BACK!

Glad to finally have found your blog. Your presence is missed on FB but I understand and respect your decision to leave it.
